Fumi Nagasaki-Pracel
was born in Fukuoka, Japan.
Her interest in cooking
began when she was kindergarten age; by the
time she was in 6th grade her ambition was to become a pastry chef!
She began honing her
skills by helping her mother cook dinners while
she was in college. Out in the "real world", she worked for Kirin, the
Japanese beer company for eight years. During that time she completed a
variety of cooking classes programs, becoming proficient in
contemporary Japanese, Chinese and western cooking - making her the
ideal choice for an East meets West culinary experience.
After coming to the USA
she got an A.A.S. degree from Hotel and
Restaurant Management Program at TC3 in Dryden, NY.
Currently Fumi is
working at Trillium at Cornell University in Ithaca,
NY.
