Due Date, Admission Guidelines, and Scholarships
The fee for the Summer College for High School Students covers tuition, room, board, and recreational fees, including tickets to the concluding banquet for the applicant and one family member (additional tickets may be purchased by the students). Certain incidental charges-for example, textbooks and personal expenses- and some optional activity costs are not included. Payment in full is due June 1, 2007.

Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis, usually within one week after completed applications are received. Completed applications should be postmarked by May 1, 2007. Students who demonstrate an above-average academic profile, leadership skills, or special talents will be given preference. While a strong academic profile is normally needed for acceptance, students may be accepted into courses where they have already demonstrated a strong background or ability

Those students who believe they will be eligible for financial aid when they apply to college are encouraged to apply for financial aid. A limited number of partial tuition scholarships are available based on financial need. More scholarships and a larger dollar amount will be awarded to students in the five week program, fewer for the three week program and very few if any to students applying for the one week programs. Students should complete their online applications and then complete their financial aid applications.

Refunds
Should a registration have to be canceled after the complete program fees have been paid, please notify the Division of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions in writing. The $25 application fee is nonrefundable. A complete refund of the balance of the program fee will be made if notice of cancellation is postmarked before June 16. Cancellations postmarked after that date will be considered on an individual basis, and resultant refunds will be partial.

Online Application
After receiving your online application, students in the credit bearing programs (three week and five week) will be mailed a teacher/counselor recommendation form, a request for a brief essay explaining your interest in the program, and a request for your high school transcript. Students with all A's and B's need only submit their high school transcript. Students in the one week non-credit courses only need to submit a high school transcript. The $25 application fee is nonrefundable.
Early application is recommended. Admission decisions are made as applications are received. Early applicants have a greater likelihood of receiving their choice of courses
